Looking to optimize your Google listing? Get good customer reviews?
Discover the simple method that will allow you to always be first and ahead of your local competitors in Google My Business.
Google my business is a Google service that allows you to showcase your business listings. There are several options in this service, including the option of creating a website.
However, in all honesty, this option isn’t very useful and is much less visible than if you had your own website created using CMS software such as Wordpress.
The advantage of having your own Wordpress-type website is that you can automate the publication of your website news directly in Google my business. And yes, these kinds of methods do exist to promote and enhance/update your Google my profile.
No, this programmatic option is not available in the Google my business interface. On the other hand, if you automate the logical link between your website and the Google my business posts/articles, when you schedule the publication of your article on your website, it will immediately be published on Google my business.
So the scheduling isn’t done via Google my business, but in my method via the website. I explain all this in my method, and all the modules / plug-ins you can install (free or paid) to be effective on Google my profile.
No, Google my business doesn’t cost any money. It’s free, all you need is a Google account. There’s a “sponsored” version, i.e. under Google advertising, which allows you to display a 4th listing in Google search results. This specific search is an ad and is part of Google’s advertising network. Otherwise, everything else is free of charge, and is just a simple configuration and engagement method, which you can give to your customers to leave positive reviews.
Yes, you can delete your business listing from Google my business. But this is irrevocable, and you will lose all information and reviews.
Another point: just because you delete your listing doesn’t mean that someone else won’t recreate it. In fact, people do create listings, because Google my business is collaborative.
Sometimes it’s better simply to mark the establishment as closed, so that it can be reopened! It will be up to the buyer you have behind you to run it. It’s all about controlling your digital assets and enhancing their value. When you sell your business, you have to think about it. All this is presented in my method, which I invite you to consult and buy.
The Google my business or Google my profile website and tools are completely free. They enable retailers to promote their establishment(s) in Google search results… whether they have one or several…. And it’s also a gateway to customer satisfaction reviews and ratings.
These business listings can also be used to display the latest posts and articles from your website (your news) and even your products directly in the Google my business listing, free of charge.
Yes, you can now easily change the name of your company on Google my business! But beware, there are robots and human moderators who will check this new name (and you may have to justify it!). This name can sometimes also be optimized for better visibility in search results. Beware, however, of using trade names that may be frowned upon by the general public, as this depends on the context and your activity. For example, if you’re a car dealership, you may very well use brand names. I explain all this in my method (and especially how to fit into the Google validation boxes).
Yes, Google my business is a great service, and it works very well!
If you look at Google search results: the first 4 results are ads, and the next three are googlemybusiness!
Then there are thousands, if not millions of websites/pages, fighting it out in terms of natural referencing, to try and finish on the first page.
So clearly, if you want to finish at the top of the first page in Google, the first lever you can have for a business is Google my business, and it’s free.
This is a big question! Google my business, or its new name Google Business Profile, is a collaborative tool. Just because you’ve filled in your listing in a certain way doesn’t mean that 6 months later it will be identical. Indeed, customers may have modified your opening hours or your services… in short, all kinds of parameters.
So, yes, Google my business is a reliable tool, but you need to keep an eye on it over time, update it and maintain it to make sure it’s displayed correctly.
Also, be careful: some competitors have fun modifying your listings! To do this, you need to control your listing and your Google account, and be alerted to any changes you make. That’s all I explain in the method.
Yes, Google my business is a free tool provided by Google that enables retailers to create a business listing that is displayed in the Google results. This business listing is geolocalized, i.e. it detects the user’s location by his IP address (often his cell phone), and suggests establishments corresponding to his search that are closest to him.
Generally, these listings are based on a keyword and city query. Google my business is a great free tool, but beware: there’s a paying element to it, which is Adwords: advertising on your Google my business listing – it’s the only one that’s currently paying – there have been several rumors in recent years that the options would become paying, with only advertising currently paying.
You can see these paid results, in the list normally made up of three establishments, when there are 4, it’s the 1st and it has a small “ad” indicator – this is the paid indicator for the establishment and the listing.

So Google my business has already disappeared! It’s mainly the name that’s disappeared, because since 2022, Google my business has been called “Google Business Profile”, or simply “Fiche établissement”. The big change is that it can no longer be accessed via the Google my business application (the service’s mobile application), but directly via Google Maps. So 2022 is a year of transition between the two terms, between the two brands, Google my business and Google business profile. The service and objectives, however, remain unchanged.
Yes, Google my business, or its new brand Google my profile, is a service that’s worth every penny! It’s the best online service that will put you at the forefront of Google’s local search results, very easily!
It’s also the best way for your customers to leave you feedback on the quality of your products and services: what better recognition can you get from them? With google my Business, your customers can publicly post their satisfaction (or their dissatisfaction – in which case, take a look at my method!).
Retailers, B2B or B2C companies, organisations, do you want to improve your digital visibility and reputation?
